Privacy Policy

Overview

Galaxy Weather ("the App") provides real-time weather, air quality, forecasts and precipitation alerts. The App requires no account and does not collect your name, phone number, email or other identity information. This policy explains what data we process, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Information We Collect

Location

• 仅在您主动授权后,本应用获取设备的大致或精确位置(ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION),用于查询您所在地的天气与空气质量。

Location (coarse/precise) is accessed only with your consent, sent as coordinates to our server and the weather providers listed below solely to fetch local weather. It is not linked to your identity and not used for advertising profiles. You may revoke the permission anytime and search cities manually.

Device & Network State

Local Preferences

Push Subscription (if enabled)

If you opt in to push, we store an anonymous FCM endpoint token and the subscribed city coordinates to deliver notifications. No identity data is included; unsubscribing removes it.

Third-Party Data Providers

• Open-Meteo / WeatherAPI.com —
• WAQI(World Air Quality Index) —
• Google Maps Platform —
• Photon / ip-api —

To deliver service, coordinates may be forwarded to the providers above (coordinates only, no identity). For real-time earthquake early warning, your browser connects directly to ws-api.wolfx.jp via WebSocket, which exposes your IP to that provider. The Gemini API receives only aggregated weather data, not your coordinates or identity. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.

How We Use Data

• 展示您所在地或所选城市的天气、空气质量、预报与雷达;
• 生成 AI 天气播报、AI 问答与气象预警提醒;
• 展示地震速报,并在页面开启时实时显示附近地震预警(EEW);

We do not sell your data, do not use it for ad targeting, and do not share it with unrelated third parties.

Storage & Security

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your Rights

• 随时通过系统设置撤销定位权限;
• 取消推送订阅以删除推送令牌;

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Effective" date above will reflect changes.
